CASTRIES, ST. LUCIA (April 15, 2003) - Sandals Regency St. Lucia Golf Resort & Spa at La Toc has just become the third Sandals resort to be awarded the International Five Star Diamond Award by the American Academy of Hospitality Sciences. Also receiving Five Star Diamond Awards were its La Toc Restaurant and Signature Spa.

In addition to the Sandals resorts, Royal Plantation Spa & Golf Resort, the first in a sophisticated new line of boutique all-inclusive resorts from the Sandals Resorts International Company, has also received several accolades from the organization.

"We are delighted to join the ranks of Sandals Grande St. Lucian Spa & Beach Resort and Sandals Royal Bahamian Resort & Spa," said Sandals Regency St. Lucia Golf Resort & Spa General Manager Baldwin Powell.

"The awards earned by our top resorts show the tireless hard work and dedication to details that our staff puts into our product everyday," said Gordon 'Butch' Stewart, chairman of Sandals Resorts. "We appreciate the recognition from the American Academy of Hospitality Sciences and will continue to be our toughest critic as we continue to strive for excellence."
